A sample weight circuit training that I like to do early in the morning looks like this…

  • Barbell Bench Press = 30 seconds
  • Dumbbell Forward Lunge = 30 seconds
  • Bent Over Barbell Row = 30 seconds
  • Barbell Squats = 30 seconds
  • Rest = 60 seconds.

weight circuit trainingComplete this circuit 5 to 7 times or until you reach a total time of 20 minutes. The weight you use should be light enough to complete the exercise in the time allowed and heavy enough so you feel exhausted at the end of each circuit.

Notice the exercises which I picked to target big muscle groups and also stimulates other smaller muscle groups. For example, the barbell bench press, targets the chest and also stimulates the shoulders and triceps.
