The Final Part of the 3 Part Workout Program For Abs

Weight Training

In this 3rd and final part of the 3 Part Workout Program For Abs, you need to push your body to the limit and do High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). This form of cardio will melt the fat off your body. You will see better results doing HIIT then any long hours of cardio.

The reason High Intensity Interval Training is way better then long hours of cardio is simple. Long hours of cardio will not burn as much calories as HIIT and long hours will destroy your muscle mass. With High Intensity Interval Training you will burn more calories because you will continue to burn calories after the workout is over and you will not destroy any of the muscle because your body will not have to endeavor that long hard punishment. That is why you see marathon runners so skinny, with no muscle on them. However, when you take a look at professional sprinters, they have a lot of muscles on their body.

By now you may be wondering what exactly is High Intensity Interval Training. Simply put, it’s maxing out your body to the limit during an aerobic exercise. For example, you will run for half a mile, then sprint the second half of the mile. You will do this a couple of times and then finish the workout. It sounds easy but when you do it, it will make you feel like you just ran 20 miles. Why, because you are pushing your body to the limit. When you sprint, you will create a post exercise oxygen consumption. This means your body will be burning calories long after the exercise is over and you will burn a lot more calories in a shorter amount of time then you would if you did a steady cardio workout.

The hardest thing about this exercise is actually doing it. Stop being lazy – go out and push yourself. That’s the only way you’re going to see results. There are no tricks, just pure heart and will power.

The benefits to HIIT are great…

  • You will spend less time in your workout while getting better results.
  • Every time you push yourself in a sprint, you are opening up your lungs for more oxygen consumption. Which means you will be able to run harder and longer the next time.
  • You will keep all the muscle mass you gained during your workout and just focus on burning fat. This is very important in ripping all the fat from your body. The more muscle you have on your body the more calories you will burn a day.

All these things play a role in getting great abs and showing them off. This three part article has explained how to gain ab muscles and the the proper way of lowering the layer of fat around the waist line so you can see the new abs you have gained.
