Compound exercises that incorporate different muscles groups at once will burn the most calories. You will want to hit at least one big muscle group within these compound bodybuilding exercises. The bigger the muscle group in the exercise, the more calories you will burn. For example, the biceps will not burn as much calories as your quadriceps.
Clean and Press
The clean and press is a great exercise that will burn a lot of calories. It works almost all of your muscles in your body. Once you have done a few reps of the clean and press, you will feel winded. The heavier the weight, the faster you will feel out of breath. This exercise is a very hard exercise to master. Start out with very light weight and progress to harder weight once you perfected your form.

Squats and lunges are bodybuilding exercises that will burn fat fast. It will take a lot of calories to finish a few sets of these exercises. Try different weights and reps to vary your routine from week to week so your legs will not become used to the exercises.
Bench Press and Bent Row
The bench press and bent row will target the large muscle groups in the upper body. These exercises hit multiple muscle groups. The bench press will target the chest, shoulders and triceps. The bent row will target the back, biceps and forearms. Try a super set with both of these exercises for a complete upper body workout.
Always challenge your body and mind by increasing the difficulty every time you workout. Reducing the time between the sets and increasing the weight are tricks to bump up the intensity and get great results from your bodybuilding exercises.
